We got our tax return back and I paid that roof off!!  I'm sure he'll be happy to get his money!  haha I bet he was beginning to wonder about us.  I wasn't going to charge it so they had to wait!  
Since we started The Total Money Makeover we've saved our $1,000 emergency fund (baby step one) and our debt balance is down by $1683.00!!  Woo HOo Progress!!  2 medical bills crossed off and the roofer!  We're rolling our debt snowball (baby step 2) down the hill! 
It feels good to throw a couple monkeys off your back.  We chickened out on selling my car or we'd be even further along.  It's ok.  It'll just take us longer to be debt free as long as were moving in the right direction I still feel good about it.
